Hello – My name is Ray Vachon and I currently reside in the community of Port Colborne, Ontario Canada in the Niagara Region on the shores of Lake Erie.

I’ve been involved in cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles and racing from a very early age.  I rebuilt my first car motor (Chev V8) at the age of 18 for my personal car, followed by several other daily driver, and race motors.  In 2009 I will be participating in the SoloSprint series (on a limited schedule) which CASC (Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs) is the governing body.  The race car is a 5.7L V8, 335HP, 1996 Pontiac Trans Am.  Of course, AMSOIL will be  the only lubricant used in the race car, from motor oil, to the gear oil.  You can follow my progress on my motorsports website HERE.

By nature, I am a very technical oriented person.  I like to study, analyze and test things before I get fully committed.  This is where AMSOIL comes in and why I became an AMSOIL dealer.  I researched the product on various sites, and tried it on my personal daily driver; a 2000 Saturn LS2 with a 3.0L DOHC V6.  I ran AMSOIL 5W30 for almost 12,000 kms from November 2008 to March 2009 during the harsh Canadian winter.  I then sampled the oil, and had it analyzed.  The results can be found HERE and as you can see, AMSOIL performed as claimed with plenty of life left.  I currently have AMSOIL XL 10W 30 in the car and plan to go the full 12,000 kms that AMSOIL claims this oil can perform to.  At that point, I will get the oil analyzed once again.  I have no doubt it will perform as claimed.
